Good morning RCS families,
I hope you had a wonderful Catholic Schools Week and that your weekend was relaxing. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to Mrs. Shannon Bianco for scheduling the CSW events, as well as to our faculty and staff for their hard work and dedication. It truly was a meaningful week of celebration and community.
Looking ahead, the Broadway Kids production will begin on Thursday evening, February 12. On Friday, February 13, students may participate in a red and pink dress-down day in celebration of St. Valentine’s Day. Please be sure students follow the dress-down guidelines while enjoying the day. There will be no school on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Our newly updated website is nearly complete, and we hope to have it live within the next two weeks. In addition, as part of our ongoing commitment to our Catholic faith and Catholic identity, we are in the planning stages of welcoming a Catholic organization into the school to facilitate Eucharistic Adoration for our students. This experience will help reinforce the importance of recognizing and honoring the unique presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
We are currently working on finalizing the budget for the upcoming school year, including tuition. Once it has been approved, it will be shared with families. We hope you are planning to return, as we have many exciting plans to share with you over the next two weeks.
We are also pleased to welcome our new second-grade teacher, Mrs. Robertson. She has been visiting the classroom this past week and will officially begin on Monday, February 9. Mrs. Robertson has been collaborating with Ms. Torres and Mrs. Renjbor and attended a phonics presentation during our professional development on February 4. We are excited to have her join the RCS community.
Looking ahead to the spring, we will be adding four additional hunter green metal picnic tables to the back of the school, bringing the total to six new tables. We will also be replacing the playground slide, which has already arrived.
There are many more exciting plans ahead, and I look forward to sharing them with you in the coming weeks. God bless, and have a wonderful week.
