Volunteer Requirements
Requirements and opportunities for parent volunteers
Parent volunteers are an essential part of the RCS community. Whether you are helping in the lunchroom, assisting at a PTO event, serving as a room parent, or coaching an athletic team, your time makes a meaningful difference in our students' lives.
All volunteers who work with children at RCS must complete fingerprinting and Virtus training through the Camden Diocese before volunteering.
Volunteer Requirements
Fingerprinting
All volunteers must be fingerprinted through the Camden Diocese. Contact the school office for instructions on scheduling your fingerprinting appointment.
Virtus Training
Complete the "Protecting God's Children" safe environment training. Register at virtusonline.org. Training must be renewed every 5 years.
Important
Both fingerprinting and Virtus training must be completed before you can volunteer at any school events or activities.
Volunteer Opportunities
Lunchroom Assistance Help serve and supervise during lunch periods
PTO Events Assist with fundraisers, celebrations, and school events
Room Parent Coordinate classroom activities and parent communication
Athletics & Coaching Coach or assist with CYO sports teams
Performing Arts Support school plays, concerts, and performances
Virtus Renewal
Virtus training must be renewed every 5 years. Log in to your Virtus account to check your status and stay current with monthly bulletins.
